Ching Han Guan 鍾漢元

Founded in Ipoh in 1949, CHG started by making popular traditional Teochew wedding pastries such as Soft Candy, Peanut Candy, Lard Biscuits, etc. Over the years, Cantonese and Western biscuits such as ‘Tau Sah Piah’, Egg Cookies, and Cashew Nut Cookies have been added to their offerings.

Guan Heong 源香

Guan Heong is the first biscuit shop in Ipoh town since 1918 and awarded with Top 50 World Street Food Award 2017 with its Meat Floss Biscuit. Guan Heong created the hype for Hawaiian biscuits, which introduced the combination of Eastern and Western flavours in the recipe.

Sin Eng Heong 新荣香

Founded in 1961, Sin Eng Heong is one of the oldest biscuit shops in Ipoh. Many would consider a visit to Ipoh incomplete without dropping by Sin Eng Heong to get a box of their legendary Kaya Puff. This staple snack is also more fondly known as Kaya Kok by the locals.
